Tony Young, Owner and Captain

Tony Young is the driving force behind Forever Young Charter Company, and he’s not just running things from behind the scenes. As our lead captain and spearfishing expert, he’s hands-on and right in the action. With a degree in Environment and Sustainability from the University of Minnesota, Tony brings extensive knowledge of coral reef ecology and a strong dedication to marine conservation. He’s a licensed captain and certified technical diver who ensures all our Key Largo charters focus on sustainable practices, especially when it comes to spearfishing and appreciating the beauty of the Florida Keys.

Tony's background includes significant contributions to marine conservation with organizations like the Georgia Aquarium and the Coral Restoration Foundation. He’s also worked with dive companies across the country, building a wealth of experience. His leadership guarantees that each trip, whether spearfishing or exploring the waters of Key Largo, offers an exciting and eco-friendly adventure that respects our marine ecosystems.

Allysa Lund, First Mate

Allysa Lund plays a vital role with our team, where her love for the ocean blends seamlessly with her passion for teaching. After leaving behind the chilly lakes of Minnesota, she’s found her place in the warm, welcoming waters of Key Largo, Florida.

When Allysa isn't in the classroom helping children with special needs, she's out on the boat, bringing her love of marine conservation to life. Her background in education and deep connection to the ocean help turn our spearfishing and snorkeling trips into both exciting and educational experiences, emphasizing the importance of protecting marine life.   

Jeff Tharp, Captain

Captain Jeff Tharp earned his degree in Outdoor Recreation, Parks, and Human Ecology from Indiana University. His studies centered on adventure education, which allowed him to teach outdoor skills like rock climbing, backpacking, skiing, and snowboarding. His love for teaching carried over into diving, where he became a PADI Master Instructor and an Emergency First Response Instructor Trainer. Jeff is also a licensed USCG master captain.
